How Do You Deal with the Psychological Reversal Found with EFT?

Question: How do you deal with the psychological reversal found with EFT?

Answer: I have never pointedly dealt with psychological reversals in Process Healing. Think about the intervention for psychological reversals in EFT. The patient says, while rubbing on a sore spot, the statement “I love myself even though I have this issue.” This triggers the barriers for treating the target issue (a memory structure). The tapping on the karate chop point or rubbing a sore spot treats the triggered barriers, since experience changes memories. This replaces negative emotions associated with the memory with the neutral to positive emotions of the current environment. I believe the subconscious causes this internal stimulation to cause treatment. This uses the truism that experience creates memories. All energy psychology interventions take advantage of this truism.

With memories that interfere with treatment, the sentence procedure triggers the barrier memories. For example, by saying the weak belief “I feel confident,” the statement triggers all the beliefs or barriers that conflict with the statement in the sentence “I feel confident.” The Subconscious then tags the triggered memories activated by the statement and then treats them, one after the other. The treatment involves substituting neutral to positive emotions for painful emotions by internal stimulation. This neutralizes the barrier memories. Then, the subconscious can strengthen the goal expressed in the statement, “I feel confident,” by associating positive emotions of the current environment, for example, a treatment setting, to make the belief 100% true. I believe the subconscious does this by some form of internal stimulation. A therapist repeats this procedure until the belief is 100% true.

If you have layered barriers or stacked memories, such as with belief or picture memories or problematic behavior, problem-solving with the subconscious will identify the structure of the barrier memory. Then, the subconscious can treat the structure causing the barrier. With the barrier treated and neutralized, the target memory can be treated.
